German Posada (Keynote)

Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology
PRESENTATION: “Universalidad y especificidad cultural en las relaciones vinculares de apego entre infantes y sus cuidadores: Preguntas por resolver”

Germán Posada obtained his Ph.D. in Child Development from SUNY Stony Brook under the tutorship of Everett Waters. His research focuses on early-childhood child/parent attachment relationships. More specifically, he studies the development of quality of care, secure base in children, and the relationship between quality of care and secure base during the first 6 years of life. His research also includes the construction of mental representations of attachment relationships in childhood, and their implications for social development. Dr. Posada also works in the development of methodological instruments for the evaluation of the constructs under study, e.g. the Maternal Behavior Q-Set for preschool-age children.
